As you probably know, bleach is very hazardous to the environment. However, bleach is used in nearly every white gi on the market. But there is a solution. When looking for a new BJJ or judo gi, look for one that is non-bleached. A non-bleached gi works exactly as well as any other gi, but it doesn't have that bright white color that other gis have. It is more of an off-white or eggshell color. You can find a non-bleached gi on dozens of web stores.
