UFC Fan Expo a rousing success!

UFC Fan Expo and UFC 100:
The champagne has been put back in the liquor cabinet, the post fight hangovers are gone and the octagon has been disassembled and shipped to Philly for UFC 101. Yes, the UFC’s 100th event and inaugural Fan Expo are finally over. (Insert disappointed sigh here.)

As the fastest growing MMA brand on the planet, the UFC Fan Expo was our opportunity to show the world what Born Stronger represents. We couldn’t have asked for a more exciting weekend, both for MMA and for our new brand. WEC champ, Jamie Varner was at our booth all weekend and let me tell you – this guy has HEART! (That’s right, I went all caps on you.) Jamie lives and breathes Mixed Martial Arts. He can’t wait to show the world what he can do in his rematch against Don Cerrone. He’s also happens to be one hell of a cool guy. Jamie hung out with fans, signed autographs, did interviews and represented our brand very well. He truly has the heart of a Born Stronger fighter. We’re really lucky to have him with us.

TUF Season 9 winner James Wilks also stopped by our booth to sign a few autographs and hang out with the Born Stronger crew. Frankly, I don’t know what DeMarques Johnson had against the tough Brit. Wilks was a class act and couldn’t have been nicer to us, and more importantly, the fans who stopped by to get his autograph.

The UFC Fan Expo marked the first time our MMA Sportswear was seen by the public. The entire line was on display and the reaction we received was very positive. We even had a limited edition Born Stronger t-shirt that was available only at the UFC Fan Expo. (Jamie Varner is seen wearing the shirt in the photo above.) We sold it for just ten bucks and they sold like hot cakes. The rest of our line was very well received. Then again, what do you expect from the fastest growing MMA brand in the world?

The Born Stronger crew was absolutely fantastic. Their energy and passion for Born Stronger and the fans who stopped by our booth was unparalleled by anyone else at the Expo. Special thanks to Emil, Lucas, Christian, Nancy, Michelle, Kimberly and Crystalina.

The weekend concluded with the UFC dinner and FIGHT Magazine party. It was UNREAL! Both events were like a “Who’s Who” of Mixed Martial Arts. We met with tons of people from the UFC and FIGHT Magazine and also were lucky enough to meet some MMA fighters like Clay Guida and Antonio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira, Dean Lister and a whole bunch of others.

If you haven’t seen our pictures, take a look at them at facebook.com/bornstronger or on our Flickr stream at www.flickr.com/photos/bornstronger.

Here’s hoping the UFC Fan Expo becomes an annual event. Until next year!
