TUF Season 10 Starts Out With a Bang

Poster of UFC Season 10 of TUF: Heavyweights

It seems like only yesterday that the UK guys showed the fighters from the US that the Brits know a thing or two about tangling in the octagon. But The Ultimate Fighter is back for it's tenth season and they've brought along a stable of 16 heavyweights itching to get a UFC contract. If the first episode is any indication, this season may turn out to be the most explosive yet.

This season the show features Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson as opposing coaches. The two jawed at each other so much during the first episode that it's hard to imagine they won't come to blows at some point during the show. They seem to have a genuine dislike for each other and Rampage trash talks Evans every chance he gets.

Perhaps he should pay more attention to picking good match ups for his fighters because the one he picked turned out to be a disaster for Team Rampage. Team Rashad member, Jon Madsen (a former collegiate wrestler) took Team Rampage's Abe Wagner down seemingly at will. It seemed Wagner spent more time on his back during this fight then Lindsay Lohan after one of her benders. Madsen continuously rained blows down upon Wagner's enormous head opening up a huge gash that went down to the bone. The amount of blood in the octagon was truly amazing. Blood was all over both Wagner's and Madsen's fight wear. By the end of the fight, the octagon looked like something from the first 20 minutes of Saving Private Ryan. In fact, Dana White later said it was the bloodiest Ultimate Fighter match that's ever taken place. It was one of the most lopsided fights in TUF history with Madsen winning via unanimous decision.

Next week promises to be just as explosive with the fighter's moving into the house and another big fight coming up.

Stay tuned MMA fans!
