For years, Dave Camarillo has been one of the most sought after BJJ instructors in the world. As the head grappling coach at the American Kickboxing Academy, he has trained some of the world’s best MMA fighters, including Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck, Josh Thompson and a whole lot more.

Camarillo has decided to take his wealth of MMA and BJJ knowledge and open up his own MMA school. And this past Saturday in Pleasanton, CA, the ribbon was cut on VIP MMA.

To commemorate the event, a host of Camarillo’s top students popped in to sign some autographs. Josh Koscheck, Jon Fitch, Mike Swick, Josh Thompson and Cain Velasquez all dropped by to say hi. Hundreds of people stopped by the new dojo to watch some world-class MMA seminars and meet the world’s best fighters from the UFC, WEC and Strikeforce.

In addition, many of the top MMA brands, including BORN STRONGER donated their fight wear to help Dave raise money for the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics is a charity near and dear to Camarillo’s heart. He couldn’t have been happier we donated some of our apparel to help the cause.
