WEC 43 Shouldn't Disappoint!

WEC 43 poster with Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson

WEC 43 hasn’t even occurred yet and it’s already seen its share of controversy.

The main event was expected to be a bout for the lightweight belt between current champion Jamie Varner and challenger Donald Cerrone. This was to be a rematch of their WEC 38 bout, which ended in a controversial technical split decision after Varner was deemed medically unable to return to competition.

Then came the announcement that “Cowboy” Cerrone would battle Ben Henderson in Varner’s place. That announcement quickly spurred rumors about Varner's retirement. A rumor the Varner camp quickly squashed.

Then came the cancellation of the original September date in Youngstown, Ohio after Henderson injured his eye and required surgery.

Well, it looks like it’s finally going to happen. Tomorrow night the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas will showcase some of the best and brightest from the WEC.

While the Cerrone vs. Henderson fight will surely be great, there are numerous other fights that are worthy of any MMA fight fan’s attention. Be sure to tune into Vs. tommorow night to catch the action and don't forget to visit BORN STRONGER for all the latest UFC news and MMA news.
