Ultimate Fighter RecapPosted by danb We’re five weeks in to the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter and Team Rampage just can’t seem to get it together. Last night Team Rampage’s Wes Sims took on Team Rashad’s Justin Wren. As a UFC veteran, Wes Sims was viewed by many as one of the early favorites to win the whole thing. He’s a big guy with great jiu-jitsu who fought the likes of Frank Mir, Kimo Leopoldo and Tim Sylvia. But once again Wren and Team Rashad pulled off a first round victory. Wren bull-rushed Sims and used his superb wrestling skills to take Sims down and quickly lock in an arm triangle that knocked the UFC vet out cold. It was over almost as quickly as it started. So what’s next for Team Rampage? If you believe the latest UFC news sources, Rampage is done fighting. Perhaps his heart just isn’t in it. Or maybe he’s just a horrible judge of talent. It seems every fighter Rampage picked has been a huge disappointment. Whatever is going on, Rampage better get it figured out quick. His fighters are dropping like flies and this isn’t the way a fighter of his caliber should leave the UFC. |
