Weekly MMA News: UFC 104, Hendo and more...Posted by danb We’re just five short days away from UFC 104: Machida vs. Rua. While the main event is sure to provide plenty of fireworks there are also some great fights on the main card, starting with Cain Velasquez vs. Ben Rothwell. Velasquez was originally slated to square off against Shane Carwin with the winner moving on to face Brock Lesnar. However, the bout was called off and Carwin will instead face Lesnar at UFC 106. Expect Velasquez to come out PISSED! That fight should be something to behold. UFC 104 also marks the second time that Spike TV will air some of the undercard before the pay-per-view event begins. Don’t forget to tune in to Spike TV to see Patrick Barry take on Dutchman, Antoni Hardonk in a heavyweight bout as well as Ryan “Darth” Bader vs. Eric Schafer in a light heavyweight fight. In other news, MMA Junkie reports that Dan Henderson expects to resign with the UFC and could face Nate Marquadt next. They also report that Brian Foster vs. Brock Larson has been added to UFC 106 in November. Don’t forget to check back with BORN STRONGER often for the latest MMA news, UFC news and more. |
