As you know, Haiti was recently ravaged by an earthquake. As of today, it's estimated that over 500,000 may have lost their lives and millions more are left homeless. As the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti was already on the brink before this natural disaster occurred. If we don't help, there's no telling what will happen to this tiny Caribbean nation.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who would take advantage of this natural disaster. The agencies and organizations listed below have been around for a very long time and you can sleep soundly knowing your money will get to where it needs to be.
 
American Red Cross: This age-old organization is even going modern; you can text the word "HAITI" to 90999 to make an instant $10 donation. 
World Vision: is already distributing first aid kits and other staples in Haiti. 
Save the Children:  is focusing on children and families and taking truly grass roots actions like sending out motorbike teams to help people in the capital.
Care USA:  is distributing stocks of high-protein biscuits that it already had in warehouses in Haiti.
