Born Stronger: You are stronger than you might think...
Some people are born with superior physical prowess. No one will argue that pro basketball player Lebron James
was born with the physical attributes that make him a dominating force in the sport of basketball. Lebron’s wingspan is 7' 5 inches, vertical leap 46 inches and stands 6'8 inches tall..
That’s much more than the average man. But Born Stronger isn’t about being born bigger or stronger than everyone else.
Some people are born with amazing intellect, like Microsoft founder Bill Gates. At age 19 young Bill
dropped out of Harvard University because he had a little idea called Windows. No one can argue that Bill is a smart guy, and had a vision of the future of computers and the digital age. But being smarter than most people isn’t what it means to be Born Stronger.

Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most well known leaders in world history. Ghandi was an amazing person on many levels, and showed incredible will power and spiritual strength. It’s hard to comprehend the amount of power it would take to walk even one mile in the sandals of Ghandhi . Very few will ever come close to measuring up.
Born Stronger is the idea that we are stronger than we might think. That each of us, no matter what our genetics, has a choice to be a little better tomorrow than we were today. Roger Gilbert Bannister, an English runner (1954) is best known for being the first man to break the 4-minute mile. He tried and failed many times; including what Roger himself thought was a huge failure underperforming in the Olympics. But he kept at it. And in 1955 broke the record everyone else thought impossible in front of a small crowd of 3,000. It turns out that something once thought to be completely out of reach, was attainable.
And so it was with legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk and the first-ever 900. And Shaun White and the Double Cork...
This is the essence of what it means to be Born Stronger. It means getting out there. It means no quitting when things are tough. Born Stronger is a reminder that when you dig deep, you can find that inner strength that exists in all of us.
You’re not competing against the world. You’re competing against yourself yesterday. Every day is a new chance to be your very best.
