DoWork is BornStronger

The first thing one realizes when you cross the border into Mexico is that you are not just in another country, but rather a completely different world. The simple things that we take for granted in our lives are unobtainable for some of the communities that we will be working with throughout the year. In Las Colinas a small church which serves as a place to learn and refuge for the neighborhood children was in need of repair. The Do Work crew had heard about this particular project through various missionaries that serve the area. Most of the day was spent rebuilding the roof. However, the other half of the team spent time with the kids feeding them and simply spending time with them.

Rosorito, Mexico is roughly 40 miles south of the border at SanYisdro. It is amazing the difference between the two worlds. In Rosirito, like in most of Mexico you are either rich or poor and not much in between. The Do Work crew spent the day passing out food to people that were in need. We needed more food and supplies then we were able to bring, so we purchased what we needed from a local market. After meeting up with a local man of the community named Sebastien we loaded up the supplies and drove to some of the poorest neighborhoods in the community. People in need of food and supplies were fed until it was time to head back over the border.
The next trip will hopefully be in two months.  A life time of work is waiting..
